Position Overview:
This is an entry level role reporting to the Crew Lead PRF has multiple Associate Forestry Specialists positions open throughout the Central Carolinas.
The scope of work for these positions is diverse and includes multiple aspects of forestry services.
This is a great opportunity to work independently, outdoors while making a positive impact in local communities.
Examples of daily work include danger tree identification & marking along transmission utility lines, data collection, pre-planning, project notification and communication with private landowners, riding/operating a Marsh Master (multi-use amphibious track vehicle).
Requirements:
Associate degree in Forestry or Natural Resources preferred Experience in Forestry, Natural Resources, or Utility Vegetation Management is a plus.
Be at least 18 years of age Have a valid driver's license Skills and Abilities Strong computer and communication skills.
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Experience operating/transporting a Marsh Master is a plus.
Be able to effectively work with co-workers.
Be responsible for all paperwork/receipts/mileage log/activity sheets throughout a work week & turn them in on time.
Motivated to work diligently in outdoor conditions on a daily basis.
Required to take company safety classes (both quarterly & monthly).
Participate in on-the-job performance evaluations.
Benefit Program:
Competitive pay of $16.
50/h to $18.
75/h; commensurate with experience.
Hourly wages will be determined based on education and years of experience.
Increased wages will be negotiated if a candidate holds specialized licenses/certifications (e.
g.
ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist, NC Registered Forester, TRAQ, CTSP, etc.
) Company vehicle.
Per Diem paid for overnight travel.
